Program Lineup
June 29, 2009 Finding In Home Care
Caring for aging parents continues to
be a concern of that generation of Baby Boomers who still may be
dealing with the pressures of college age offspring or perhaps
even younger than that. With all of these challenges and the lack
of experience dealing with aging parents it is nice to know there
are organizations you can turn to for assistance. During this
program we will be speaking with a licensed social worker who
specializes in assessing the needs of elderly citizens who want to
remain independent as long as they can. Besides the issues of
aging there are also the challenges of health and medical issues
that we all may face. This promises to be a very informative
session.

Unraveling Social Security
A sure fire way to start up an
exciting debate is to mention the future of Social Security. Lots
of information is out in the media about Social Security and the
"trust fund." During this program we will sift through the
hyperbole and focus on the facts. This topic certainly won't
solve the debate, but at least you will have a better
understanding of Social Security and how it works.
July 13, 2009 Active vs. Passive Management
Most investment
managers advertise that they deliver superior results and are
poised to reap great results. Yet it is virtually impossible for
everyone to be above average. The argument put forth by
proponents of passive management is based on that line of
thinking. Yet there possibility exists of being able to
outperform the markets. As some managers have shown, that is not
impossible, but it is difficult. Listen in to hear more on this
discussion.
